![]() Noise reduction technology has basically been the same for a decade, with only minor incremental improvements here and there. Use DeNoise AI to help you create a pixel-perfect photo in any situation. ![]() You’ll be able to get much higher-quality results when you’re shooting fast action shots, night images, or any other situation that requires a high ISO. The LLC plugins ones are beta and you can just ignore them, afaik.Great noise reduction is like a lens upgrade. This needs to be addressed, Topaz! Again, do any CS6 gurus want to chime in? I can obviously make multiple plugin directories stick in the filters panel, because both Nik and Topaz Labs have always simultaneously shown up It then worked, but I suspect that I will have to repeat this process for every update. I finally manually solved the issue (after reinstalling twice in specified directories) by manually copying the Denoise 2 folder in the new LLC directory and manually pasting it into the old Topaz Labs directory. I either had Denoise 2 and none of the other AI programs in my plugins menu, or vice versa. ![]() After the installation, I fired up CS6, and no matter how many times I pointed the CS6 plugins preferences tab to the new directory and back (restarting CS6 each time, of course), I could not get CS6 to recognize both plugin directories. All previous Topaz plugins saved in a directory simply called "Topaz Labs". It seems that when downloading the installation, the Denoise 2 program saves in a new c:/directory called "Topaz Labs LLC" on your hard drive. any thoughts or assistance?ĭelete the suffix/prefix field text? but used as a photoshop plug-in this does not happen so? The advanced tools have an option to choose your suffix, but even when I leave it suffix option box blank, it simply saves a second file as a "jpg(1)" duplicate file. I see no way to opt out of this option (meaning, to simply save over the original file without creating a new file. This is especially a pain when using it as a CS6 plug-in. I most definitely DO NOT want this in a denoised file 99.9% of the time, I denoise as my first post-RAW action, and want to continue working on the original converted jpg file without exiting out and entering the new file. I want this to happen in Gigapixel AI, because you are essentially always creating a new file secondary file. Unlike all denoise products to date, Denoise 2 appends a suffix to your denoised file and by default creates a second jpg file (similar to Gigapixel AI). This needs to be addressed, Topaz! I would like some input from people with more tech experience than me. Denoise 2 works in both stand-alone and as a plugin on CS6 without apparent bugs (the latter plugin version only after some frustrating manual tweaking, which I will get to later). I like the program, even though I also liked Denoise AI and was nervous about deleting it. I installed the new version yesterday (albeit, at first, after seeing the update pop up on Denoise AI, but which did not include the "special instructions" referred to in the previous thread to uninstall Denoise AI), and so far so good.
